My Experience

How I got here

Website design and development has been an interest of mine since I first came across it at Richmond school. Fast forward 15 years and my passion is stronger than ever as I pursue a career as a Yorkshire based freelance web designer.

My Skills

I first experienced web development during a computer lesson in school. I enjoyed it so much that I began expanding on this in my free-time. This enjoyment manifested to the point that I chose ICT as part of my A levels, with the lifetime goal of becoming a professional web designer and developer.

2005 - 2012
Richmond School

With great A level results, I found myself at the University of Hull studying web design and development. The three year course provided insight into the digital sector and introduced industry expertise from Askew Brook. This combined with my free-time allowed me to develop my skills as a freelancer.

2012 - 2015
University of Hull

Shortly after graduating the University of Hull, I was offered a full-time role as a web designer and developer for Hush Digital. The team were fantastic to work with and really allowed me to grow as a professional. They constantly challenged me to deliver the best digital solutions and learn the latest technologies.

2015 - 2020
Hush Digital

After 5 years working in industry, I decided to take the leap to become a freelance web designer and developer. This has always been my dream and I'm extremely pleased with how it's going! I've worked on some fantastic website projects for a wide range of clients, all over the globe!

2020 - present
